KUDUS.

Kudus, a village of 337 people about nine miles south of Vada, has a yearly fair at the tomb of a Musalman saint in April-May, from the seventh of the bright half to the fourteenth of the dark half of Chaitra. The fair is attended by between three and four thousand people from the Vada, Mahim, and Bhiwndi sub-divisions, and several thousand rupees worth of grain, cloth, fish, copper pots, pepper, vegetables, and sweetmeats are sold. The shrine has a grant of 683/40 acres of land ; the manager is chosen by Government.
